Art Lesson: Samantha French
June 10th 2011
Samantha French describes her bather series as a link to her past and childhood. With choppy brushwork, a relatively muted palette, and faceless protagonists, her paintings do evoke the feeling of a distant, clouded memory or even a dream. She romantically captures a summer long gone and prompts us to relive ours.
